Thomas Dekker joins Kaboom |
| Posted by admin in Uncategorized |
It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen anything from indie provocateur Gregg Araki, but now it looks like he’s back with a vengeance - and has roped Thomas Dekker into Kaboom.
The new film, about which little is known aside from the fact that it follows the sexual awakening of a group of college students (sounds right up Araki’s alley), is already shooting.
Dekker - best known as John Connor in the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series - has been added to the cast alongside Roxane Mesquida, Kelly Lynch and Rooney Mara. [Source]

Summer Glau Remains In The ‘Dollhouse’ |

The addition of Alan Tudyk at the tail-end of “Dollhouse’s” first season sent Whedonites into cheers of sheer delight … and now they have reason to do it again.
Summer Glau, the psychic assassin from Joss Whedon’s “Firefly” series –- not to mention Terminator from “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” — has now been promoted from guest star to recurring character, according to Whedonesque, and she may even stick around for the rest of the season. She will join fellow Whedon alumna Amy Acker who had a recurring role throughout the debut season of the show as Dr. Saunders.
Unlike her former co-star, Glau will not jump into the chair any time soon. Instead her character, Bennett, will be an employee of the Dollhouse rather than an actual doll. Fox has described the character as having a mysterious connection with Echo (Eliza Dushku) … or is it Caroline?

Stephanie Jacobsen doesn’t feel sorry for her “Melrose Place” character.
“I think that it’s important for an actor not to pity their character,” Jacobsen said during an interview in Pasadena, Calif. “That’s for an audience to do. An actor is there to justify a character.”
The Australian actress plays Lauren Yung, a financially struggling medical student turned call girl on CW’s remake of the sexy ’90s serial (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on WLVI)

Producer: Don’t Give Up On The Sarah Connor Chronicles! |
| Posted by admin in Uncategorized |
Like the embattled resistance against Skynet, fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have refused to surrender. They’ve rented a mobile billboard for the canceled Fox show this week. And now producer James Middleton tells io9 there’s reason for hope.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles went off the air last May, and seems unlikely to come back to television. But fans have become increasingly focused on the idea that the show could have a direct-to-DVD movie sequel. The show’s creator and showrunner, Josh Friedman, told us back in May that the show was over, and unlikely to be revived.
