In an online interview in April of 2007, Summer said that she daydreams about playing the role of a chef or a cowgirl According to Summer, she is very shy. As of 2008, Summer remains single. Nathan Fillion, co-star in Firefly and Serenity, when asked if there was anything bad about being back on set: "There's Summer – sour grapes Summer Glau! One of the many jokes is that whenever something goes wrong, it's Summer's fault. It's especially funny when she's not there!" In Serenity she did her own fight scenes.
